5 impactos da pandemia na transformação digital das empresas

Em janeiro de 2020, qualquer um de nós não acreditaria em alguém dizendo que os próximos meses trariam altas nas taxas de desemprego, diversos comércios fechando e que teríamos que ficar em casa na maior parte do tempo. A pandemia do coronavírus veio sem que ninguém pudesse prever seus impactos. Além disso, forçou empresas de todos os setores a se adequarem em tempos recordes para conseguir se manterem na ativa. No entanto, da mesma forma que trouxe desafios, a pandemia também trouxe consigo oportunidades, principalmente, em relação à transformação digital.

Ao buscar formas de manter suas operações de negócios mesmo em face das medidas de isolamento social, organizações de todo o mundo puderam sentir de perto o poder da tecnologia e que a transformação digital é o caminho certo para conseguir melhores resultados.

1. O avanço do trabalho remoto no cenário de transformação digital

Para as empresas, uma consequência da crise da COVID-19 foi um aumento dramático no uso de tecnologias digitais que ajudam a reduzir as interações face a face e salvaguardar a saúde e o bem-estar dos clientes e funcionários.

Aplicativos como videoconferência parecem ter penetrado de vez no mundo do consumidor e no mundo empresarial. O home office, antes visto com maus olhos por gestores, passou a ser considerado como forma de reduzir os custos internos da empresa e aumentar a produtividades da equipe.

Para isso, softwares na nuvem e programas de gestão de tarefas passaram a ser implantados e usados, mudando a cultura das empresas. Agora, em vez de medir o trabalho pelo tempo, medimos pelo nível e qualidade das entregas realizadas.

2. Acelerando a adoção do 5G

A conectividade mais rápida já era exigida por organizações e consumidores. Com grande parte da população sendo obrigada a ficar em casa para evitar a propagação da COVID-19, ter uma conexão rápida e segura se tornou ainda mais importante.

A adoção do 5G, que já vinha caminhando a passos lentos, foi acelerada com a necessidade de redes melhores para conectar empregados em casa aos sistemas de trabalho. Muitas empresas de telecomunicações já anunciaram seus cronogramas de adoção da nova rede e metas de implementação para os próximos anos.

O ano de 2020 viu a primeira experiência 5G no Brasil e, cada vez mais, fabricantes de dispositivos móveis lançam aparelhos com suporte para a tecnologia, mostrando que sua ampla adoção está cada dia mais próxima.

3. Mostrando a importância da análise de dados

A pandemia do coronavírus também expôs outra necessidade que já era discutida nas salas de diretoria de muitas organizações: a importância da análise de dados. O uso de Big Data e Business Intelligence vinha crescendo ano após ano, mas agora empresas e instituições puderam ver na prática como os dados podem ser usados para tomar melhores decisões.

Na saúde, a instituição estadunidense Johns Hopkins, criou painéis de dados que orientaram governos e outras entidades a tomarem decisões capazes de salvar vidas. No ambiente empresarial, o uso de dados pode representar a diferença entre salvar o negócio — especialmente em momentos de crise — ou ser devorado pela concorrência.

As empresas enxergaram isso neste ano, significando que aquelas que deixarem para começar a investir na análise de dados mais tarde, certamente ficarão para trás.

4. Uso da IA e aprendizado de máquina

Os dados são vitais para a continuidade dos negócios em um mundo pós-COVID-19, no entanto, a quantidade massiva de dados que está sendo produzida, com o aumento do número de ferramentas digitais utilizadas, torna difícil para as empresas monitorarem as informações com softwares antiquados.

A pandemia mostrou que os dados são tão úteis quanto a tecnologia utilizada para analisá-los e fez a Inteligência Artificial e o aprendizado de máquina ganharem destaque entre os gestores de TI, à medida que as empresas precisam recorrer à transformação digital e à tecnologia para obter insights sobre seus dados.

A IA e o aprendizado de máquina possibilita às organizações conquistar três fatores essenciais para analisar quantidades massivas de dados: escala, velocidade e conveniência. Em outras palavras, essas tecnologias estão fornecendo o poder de computação necessário para transformação informações em ações.

5. RPA para automatizar tarefas repetitivas

Se há uma tecnologia que pode manter uma empresa funcionando em ótimo nível, mesmo quando seus funcionários estão geograficamente distantes, é o RPA, ou Robot Process Automation.

Organizações de todos os setores estão entendendo que o poder humano deve ser usado para aquilo onde ele é melhor: tarefas estratégicas, que exigem a lógica humana. Com isso, elas estão buscando formas de automatizar aquelas atividades sem reais valor para a organização, mas que precisam ser realizadas.

Isso acelerou muitos investimentos que permitirão ver nos próximos anos a automação orientada por software encontrar a nuvem e ser otimizada com a ajuda da IA. E não é preciso ser um cientista de dados para ver que as empresas em todo o mundo só podem se beneficiar da mudança para o uso de robôs escaláveis, que aumentam a produtividade e reduzem os erros.

Durante anos, as empresas investiram em iniciativas de transformação digital. No entanto, na esteira da pandemia da COVID-19, esses planos mudaram de direção e foram acelerados. Essa onda de aceleração digital causada pela pandemia trouxe muitas oportunidades para as empresas — agora, basta que elas saibam aproveitar e procurem o fornecedor certo para acompanhá-las por essa jornada.
